JOB OPPORTUNITY: Front Of House Manager
11th October 2017The Front of House Manager will work closely with the General Manager, Artistic Director and Creative Director and be responsible for managing the Front of House team which includes Bar Staff, Security and Technical Staff.
£18,000 - £20,000 pro rata.
Front of House Manager Responsibilities
To act as Front of House Manager during shifts where there is a performance, to liaise with production staff and theatre clients, live music promoters, visiting artists and production companies to ensure performances are carried out to the highest standard and satisfaction of all involved.
Responsible for maintaining and improving Front of House systems and ensuring staff are well informed. Liaising with theatre programmers on a regular basis.
Responsible for ensuring the bar is well stocked at all times, ensuring all customers are provided with a high standard of customer service and a positive visitor experience.
Stock systems management. Maintaining the ability to accurately report to the General Manager whenever requested.
Increase bar sales by encouraging new business, programming activities that do not interfere with previously organised events.
Front of House and Operations Responsibilities
To lead and motivate a team of front line staff, ensuring that all have a flexible and friendly approach and feel valued as part of the organisation.
To manage all operational matters relating to the front of house and bar operations, including ensuring accurate cashing up procedures and reconciliation of all box office reports at all times.
To be responsible for the well being and safety of the audience and all theatre users. Ensure the theatre complies with all relevant Health and Safety regulations at all times.
Ensure that all aspects of front of house, bar and theatre areas provide a welcoming environment to customers and clients alike.
Responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness during shift.
Responsible for general maintenance and upkeep of theatre facilities.
To oversee and manage the bar staff rota, ensuring the theatre is adequately staffed for all events.
To ensure that visitors with special needs or access requirements are catered for appropriately.
