The Witch of Edmonton by Rowley, Dekker and Ford.
(New Adaptation by Natasha Dawn)
We all know the dark history of London - Jack the Ripper's Whitechapel, Sweeney Todd's Fleet Street.... but do you know about Witches in North London?
A Demon is abroad in sleepy Edmonton, violating his way through wicked women, Wicker Men and pox ridden puppets. Servants plot bigamy and blasphemy, whilst their masters trick and torment the town. As a Hellish Hound runs riot, the innocent have only one place to turn for help - the Devil himself.
Periwig and Monkey's macabre new adaptation of the 1621 play The Witch of Edmonton, based on a tragic true life tale of London Witchcraft, is a spine-chilling story of demons, marriage and murder. Shakespeare meets Tim Burton and The Wicker Man, it will make you ask - Is society responsible for our wrong-doings or does Evil truly exist?
