‘The Arab, the Jew and the Chicken turns the Middle Eastern conflict into a comedic farce' BBC Arabic.
‘Conflict Relief slays stereotypes and skewers both sides with wit and absurdity' Jerusalem Report.
The Arab the Jew and the Chicken is a fun, fast and feisty exploration of the Middle East conflict. A comedy sketch show that weaves together culture, identity and the realities of every-day life in the region... oh and chickens.
What happens when two suicide bombers dig a tunnel in to the office of the deputy head of Israeli security? Or when a Palestinian delegate falls for an Israeli delegate at a UN peace conference?
Formed in October 2006 and sparked by the friendship between a Palestinian refugee and an ex Israeli Army officer, ConflictRelief brings together Arab, Israeli Jewish and Muslim actors from diverse theatrical back grounds (acting, dance, clowning, physical theatre, stand up, improvisation) to explore the Middle East conflict through comedy.
`The Arab, the Jew and the Chicken` is one of the first Arab / Israeli comedy shows to hit the UK and has already been performed successfully at Redbridge Drama Centre; Canal Café Theatre and Rosemary Branch Theatre, London.
