"They just forgot about us.  Forgot about us for years and years and years.  That's not how it was supposed to be"

1924.  With no idea why she has been taken from her world of finishing schools and cocktail parties, Persephone finds herself in St. Dymphna's Hospital for the Criminally Insane, condemned to scrub bathrooms with fellow inmate Dora.

Airswimming, Charlotte Jones' first play, is a funny and disquieting examination of the irreparable damage caused by social inequality and its impact on two women.

designed by Jess Wiesner; lighting design by Jason Osterman; sound design by Nela Brown

4 stars (Whatsonstage)   'a humanistic tale of friendship and hope... the performances are exceptional'

'Gemma Kerr's understated direction gives this world of imagination room to breathe and Katie Cotterell and Helen Bradbury are superb together.'  (British Theatre Guide)
