Jeff Merrifield
Jeff Merrifield (playwright) - over 43 years involvement in community arts alongside writing and occasional forays into acting. Plays written include Slatzer's Bouquet, The Dafne Work, Lovers Come and Lovers Go but Friends are Hard to Find, Tapestries - a travesty and an adaptation of The Clown by Heinrich Böhl. Jeff has also worked with Ken Campbell on a number of productions from the early Road Show to The Warp and Pidgin Macbeth. He was awarded a doctorate for his long study on Ken Campbell's Science Fiction Theatre of Liverpool years. Books include The Perfect Heretics and Damanhur: the Real Dream. Jeff founded Playback Theatre, part of Playback Arts Limited, in 1976.
